Jamie Oliver The Big Party Kit 6-Piece Set

Jamie Oliver The Big Party Kit 6-Piece SetWill it be dips and chips, or sushi, wasabi, and tamari? Perhaps a platter of build-your-own appetizers, with cheese, breads, and spreads? The uses for this inspired party kit are unlimited. Each of the six pieces is different, yet all stack together for efficient storage. The plain white porcelain assures that the delicacies served will show to their best advantage.

As the name implies, the Big Party Kit was designed by England's cheeky chef, Jamie Oliver, perhaps better known by his moniker, the Naked Chef (descriptive of his pared down ingredients, not lack of clothing). Royal Worcester turned his idea into reality with an 8-1/2-inch deep square bowl, 8-1/2-inch low square platter, and three triangular dishes of varied sizes, all of which fit neatly on an 18-by-9-inch platter. The durable porcelain keeps dips warm in the oven, reheats in the microwave, saves in the freezer, and slips right into the dishwasher for easy cleanup when the party's over. For a bonus, a few of Oliver's no-fuss recipes are included. --Ann Bieri
