Because He Believes In Something Big
He is a great chef, gives us great recipes with excellent taste. He enter our living rooms through the TV, has great shows and he is charming (I think) has a great accent too. But all this is not different from so many other great chefs.
This is factors that make me like the guy. But there is something else to this man, that make me respect him at a different level. Trust him so to speak...
Why?
Because we share the same believe...
Jamie Oliver believe; to live life, you must stay alive. To live a good life, you need to stay healthy all your life. The longer you live a healthy life, you'll get more out of life. To achieve this, the game plan is simple; the more fresh, healthy food you put in to your body, the chances of success is big.
Continue the path leading us to overweight and diseases, we will die young and sick.
There is something else...
Jamie is working for something bigger than himself. He is not only getting out of bed in the morning to earn his paycheck. He is driven by a mission because he has a vision of changing a bad thing in to something better. And he believe he can do it - that he can make a difference in this world, by doing what he does.
Respect, I find that trust-worthy and I think we need more people like him.
There is a video of Jamie, he won the 2010 TED prize for the important work he does, inspiring us to eat healthier. Here he is giving a great speech, enjoy it and get inspired by Jamie Oliver.
